Team of the Month








George Clark returns to the team of the month after some displays of real quality. Penalty saves, clean sheets, man othe match, you name it. The big man has been through it all this month and deservedly wins player of the month. As the Reserves struggle to keep a clean sheet we see an all first team defensive line but with new faces as Angell and Butcher come into the side.


In midfield, Andy Hallam bids farewell to the club but retains his place in the team of the month. Hallam is joined by Ash Austin who has found his form and Dave Gillespie who looked back to his best.


In attack, Sam Pickup and Richard Booth continue their fine goalscoring form and are joined by Paul Kempton who has discreetly crept up the league standings with some crucial goals and assists.






Stand in keeper Kieran Burns makes the team of the month for September and sits behind new entrants Danny Keating and Steve Beck. Keating had a fine month adding assists from left back whilst Steve Beck convinved Burns that his man of the match displays in the Reserves warranted a spell in the firsts.


In midfield, Andy Hallam keeps his place supplying assist after assist and is supported by Will Johnson and Paul Harrington who were in fine form with goals and man of the match displays.


In attack, it’s all about one man. Richard Booth, the player of the month for September, finally got his season started and now sits as top scorer. Sam Pickup joins Booth and Oli Seed comes into the team after proving that even at the age of 39, he can score goals like any new kid on the block.






An early contender for player of the season has emerged in the form of Edd Calvert who leads the ‘BURNS’ stats with 1 goal, 2 assists and 2 man of the match awards. Making the team this month in defence alongside Calvert is Williams, Butcher and Phil Harrington who have impressed in the first team and Paul Leonard who has found himself scoring and providing assists for the Reserves. George Clark makes the team in goal after keeping the only clean sheet of the season for the firsts.


In midfield, Andy Hallam who continues to top the assists league this season, Eddie Kieran whose speed, agility and battling has seen him have a fantastic start to the season and Will Johnson who leads the scoring for the Reserves with 4 goals.


In attack, we have Sam Pickup who has finally found his scoring boots and netted 4 goals in 6 games and Adey Shields who is proving he is fitter, stronger and more determined than ever.
